The TRENDnet TEG-284WS 28-Port Gigabit Web Smart Switch is designed to meet the evolving demands of SMB networks. With 24 Gigabit ports and 4 shared Gigabit ports (RJ-45/SFP), this rack-mountable switch offers advanced L2+ features and enhanced traffic management controls. It offers a range of advanced managed switch features, including LACP for increased bandwidth, VLANs for network segmentation, QoS for traffic prioritization, port bandwidth controls, and SNMP monitoring. Voice performance is optimized through a dedicated voice VLAN feature, which isolates and prioritizes VoIP traffic from regular data traffic, ensuring crystal-clear communication. The TRENDnet TEG-284WS switch can also offload routing processes from routers, improving network efficiency through L2+ IPv4/IPv6 static routing. TRENDnet TEG-284WS features dynamic ARP inspection to protect against man-in-the-middle attacks and support for access control lists (ACLs), SSL, MAC/port filtering, 802.1X, TACACS+, and RADIUS for layered access controls. The switch's fanless, rack-mountable 1U metal housing is designed for reliability and performance. It supports long-distance fiber optic connections through its SFP slots. Additionally, the switch is IPv6-ready, allowing for seamless integration into modern networks. The TRENDnet TEG-284WS managed switch can be easily configured and diagnosed via TRENDnet's cloud service, TRENDnet Hive (additional fee applies), reducing management time and cost.
