Description

DJI RS 4 Handheld Camera Gimbal Stabilizer

The DJI RS 4 Handheld Camera Gimbal Stabilizer is a versatile and durable Camera handling gimbal intended for professional videographers and photographers. It has several accessory ports, such as 1/4"-20 mounting holes, a cold shoe, Ronin Series Accessories (RSA)/NATO connectors, and several USB-C ports for focus motor communication, video transmission, and RSS camera control. The gimbal is powered by a 3000 mAh LiPo 2S battery (BHX711-3000-7.2V), which can run the device for up to 12 hours under ideal circumstances and takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge using an 18W fast charger. The Bluetooth 5.1 of the DJI RS 4 Camera Gimbal Stabilizer guarantees a smooth connection with the Ronin app, which works with iOS 11.0 and Android 8.0 or later. With a tested payload capacity of 3 kg (6.6 lbs) and a maximum regulated rotation speed of 360°/s across the pan, tilt, and roll axes, the DJI RS 4 Camera Gimbal Stabilizer has remarkable operational performance. A roll axis from -95° to +240°, a tilt axis from -112° to +214°, and a pan axis of 360° continuous rotation are all possible within the mechanical range. The gadget runs efficiently between -20° and 45° C (-4° to 113° F), with a frequency range of 2.400-2.4835 GHz. The Bluetooth transmitter power is less than 8 dBm. The gimbal is enhanced by the DJI Ronin Image Transmitter, which has an HDMI port, an RSS camera control port, a power/communication port, and an extension cold shoe. The stabilizing gimbal for the DJI RS 4 has 126 g in weight and 82×63×24 mm in size, and it operates on two frequency bands (2.400-2.4835 GHz and 5.725-5.850 GHz). With extra parts like the grip, extended grip/tripod, and quick-release plates, the gimbal's total weight comes to about 1066 g (2.35 lbs). When unfolded, its dimensions are 370×191×189 mm, while its folded measurements are 245×255×75 mm.

2nd-Gen Native Vertical Shooting

With its newly built horizontal plate, the DJI RS 4 Camera Gimbal Stabilizer allows for faster and easier operation with second-generation native vertical shooting. You can easily transition to vertical shooting by just releasing the horizontal plate and locking it into the vertical position, all without the need for other attachments. The DJI RS 4 gives you the ability to use a joystick to modify the lens zoom or a dial to control the focus when used in conjunction with the new DJI Focus Pro Motor. Effective lens control is made possible by its seamless functioning.

2nd-Gen Automated Axis Locks

The automated axis locks greatly improve shooting, transition, and storage efficiency by enabling RS 4 to rapidly begin operating or go into sleep mode. To further lessen gimbal wobble, the axis locks have narrower gaps when they are locked. The DJI RS 4 Gimbal Stabilizer offers enhanced performance that increases the efficiency of solo creation while supporting the professional-grade capabilities of DJI PRO products.

Teflon-Coated Axis Arms Smoother Balancing

All three axes of the DJI RS 4 Gimbal Stabilizer have Teflon coatings, which lower friction and improve balancing. The tilt axis' fine-tuning knob allows you to precisely balance at the millimeter level by moving the camera forwards or backward while changing lenses or cameras. To guarantee safe camera mounting, an additional adjustable positioning guide is included with the upper quick-release plate.

1.8″ OLED Full-Color Touchscreen

An updated auto-lock feature is included in the OLED touchscreen of the DJI RS 4 Gimbal Stabilizer. Once locked, the screen will show the joystick and gimbal modes that are currently in use at a low brightness. This helps preserve battery life in addition to preventing inadvertent touches. The new gimbal mode switch allows you to quickly choose between FPV, Pan and Tilt follow, and Pan follows modes. You may also customize the FPV mode choices to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom, which enables you to quickly set up your equipment and begin filming. The motion-lapse, track, and panorama functions are additional intelligent features.

3kg (6.6lbs) Payload Capacity

With a 3kg (6.6 pounds) payload capacity, the lightweight body is impressive. It can accommodate common mirrorless camera and lens combinations, making it easy to wield and powerful. The DJI RS 4 Camera Gimbal Stabilizer offers more balancing space thanks to an 8.5 mm extension on its tilt axis compared to the previous model. By doing this, you can mount common mirrorless cameras and lens sets along with add-ons like ND filters, which expands your creative possibilities.

RSA Communication Port

An RSA communication port on the DJI RS 4 Gimbal Stabilizer makes it possible to connect third-party and control handle and remote-control ring handle accessories, as well as the DJI RS Tethered Control Handle. You have the flexibility to alternate between several shooting positions based on your artistic requirements. Third-party manufacturers and independent developers can create customized capabilities for DJI RS 4 that satisfy a larger range of shooting requirements, all thanks to the DJI RS SDK protocol.

Bluetooth Wireless Control

With Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology, the DJI RS 4 can manage the lens zoom and camera shutter remotely. To get a native zoom experience, you can use the joystick to control Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom when in zoom control mode. Once paired, a camera can reconnect automatically and without any more effort.

4th-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm

The RS stabilization algorithm of the next generation has been extensively tuned for various usage circumstances by the DJI RS 4 Gimbal Stabilizer. It provides both great performance and an improved user experience by striking a better balance between the power of the stabilization and the tactile feel of camera movement. Additionally, DJI RS 4 provides far better stability while filming vertically, making it simple to steady dynamic views like low-angle or running perspectives.

High-Capacity Battery Grip

The DJI RS 4's battery lifetime may be increased to 29.5 hours with the new BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip. Through the USB-C port on the bottom, you can use up to 18 W of power to power your camera and accessories. The DJI RS BG30 Battery Grip has a 14-hour battery life that can run the RS 4. Both the PD and QC 2.0 rapid charging protocols are supported. It can be charged independently from the gimbal and can reach 80% charge in around an hour and 100% charge in 1.5 hours thanks to its 24W charging specification. The DJI Ronin Image Transmitter may be used by small crews and independent cinematographers alike to achieve an integrated shooting experience with monitoring and control capabilities. It can be used for high-definition live feeds, remote gimbal and camera control, ActiveTrack 4.0, Force Mobile, and more.

Trigger Function Customization

The trigger function can be adjusted to FPV mode, in which the three axes of the gimbal follow the movement of the grip when the trigger is pressed and held. When mimicking point of view or recording rotational footage, this is quite helpful. You may rapidly convert between PF, PTF, and FPV modes by flipping the gimbal mode switch. The DJI RS 4 Gimbal Stabilizer may be precisely calibrated by selecting either the Custom or 3D Roll 360 modes in FPV mode, depending on the needs of the shoot.
